2018 Official Rules

ALL TOURNAMENTS - SAFE LIGHT UNTIL 3:00 PM

All Federal, State, and local laws will be obeyed as well as the McNider Marine Tournament Trail rules. Fisherman should be knowledgeable of all laws and rules.
  1. Correct name, address and email address of team member must be given before registering. If a partner changes, it has to be changed before the first tournament. If one of the original partners can no longer fish, a new team will be created. The new team will only get half of the accumulated points.
  2. Limit of two (2) fishermen per boat.
  3. Registration cut off time is 5:30 AM.
  4. Any boat not checked in at official check in site by 3:00 PM for first flight, 3:15 PM for second flight, and 3:30 PM for last flight will be Disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
  5. Only artificial baits will be used.
  6. Only one (1) rod in use at any time. NO jigger poles allowed. No Alabama rigs.
  7. Fish size limit no less than 12 inches. Fish will be measured with golden rule...Demopolis 14" fish.
  8. Limit of 5 fish per boat.
  9. Livewell will be checked before tournament begins.
  10. NO FISHING WITHIN (800 ft 360 degrees from any locks, dams, powerhouse, spillway areas). This is a McNider Marine rule, not state or federal law. No exceptions!
  11. Life jackets must be worn at blast off.
  12. Only largemouth and spotted bass will be weighed in.
  13. Fishermen cannot leave the boat except for emergency /bathroom /weather etc.
  14. ALL fishermen must use rejuvenate in live wells during summer months.
  15. All boats must have live well; no stringers, coolers, or iced down fish.
  16. Each dead fish weighed in will result in a (2 oz.) penalty from total creel.
  17. All decisions by tournament officials will be final.
  18. Any suspicious fish will be examined by the tournament directors and could result in disqualification.
  19. Any grievance must be submitted to tournament directors before or during the weigh-in.
  20. Any fisherman is subject to a random polygraph test and will be required to pass in order to receive pay outs. Anyone who fails a polygraph test will no longer be able to fish the McNider Marine Tournament trail.
  21. Any boat may lock through.
  22. The tournaments will have a point system 1st place 200 points, 2nd 199 points, ect. Ties for first place will be broken by the big fish weight. If big fish does not break the tie, the winnings will be split. All other place ties will split the winnings.
  23. Only top 50 percent in points and teams that fish all tournaments will be allowed to fish the classic. (TOTAL TEAMS FISHED) (NO DROP THIS YEAR)
  24. Only 1 substitute 1 time during the year unless youth 16 and under. If more than one substitute is used, the 2nd substitute used will create a new team. Therefore, points will not go to the original team.
  25. No fishing in gravel pit. (Millers Ferry) No fishing in ponds or private property during high water levels.
  26. No substitution will be allowed for classic other than youth 16 and under.
  27. If a team splits in the middle of the year the points will be divided. If one partner chooses not to fish, the partner who fishes will only receive half of the points.
  28. All fish must be weighed in McNider Marine net bags only. You may use your personal outer bag.
  29. Only the members who fished all of the tournaments AND qualified for the Classic will be eligible for the drawing of the motor.
  30. Note owners, Bruce and Melissa McNider, have the sole right to deny any person registration to fish if deemed necessary.
IT IS ALL ANGLERS' RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW THE RULES OF THE MCNIDER MARINE TOURNAMENT TRAIL AS WELL AS THE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS BEFORE FISHING.

A MERCURY 250 PRO XS or $10,000 WILL BE GIVEN AWAY AT THE CLASSIC. (THE WINNER WILL HAVE THE OPTION) ONLY THE ANGLERS WHO HAVE FISHED ALL THE REGULAR SEASON TOURNAMENTS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE MOTOR. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. YOU CAN STILL FISH CLASSIC IF YOU ARE IN TOP 50% IN POINTS, BUT THAT DOES NOT QUALIFY YOU FOR THE DRAWING.
